 ENGINE & DETAIL WINTERIZATION PACKAGES **We Are Mobile & Fully Insured** Winter is ofifcially here so it’s time to get your boat ready for the colder months. Choosing to winterize your boat is a protective measure that will not only save you time and money; it will also assure your boat will greet you with a happy engine when warm weather welcomes you again. Failure to winterize can cause your boat to suffer significant damage such as cracks that cause leaks, corrosion, frozen pipes, interior damage, and fuel degradation. By the time spring comes all these problems will cost you a fortune to repair. One of the most important off-season items you need for your boat is a good cover. This will protect your boat from rain, snow and freezing temperatures. We care about your investment so we have provided you several options for the winterization and freeze protection of your boat. Please consider each plan, and then note your choice in the form below. Option #1 Winterization, Dewinterization, Annual Service, & Water Pump Replacement - Winterization: Add fuel conditioner to the gas tank. Start and run the motor to allow conditioned fuel to reach the carburetor and to remove sand and silt from the cooling system. Fog the engine with storage fogging oil. Drain the cooling system; reinstall petcocks, hoses and clamps. Disconnect the battery. Remove the drain plug and drain all water from the boat. Secure the boat cover for winter storage.
- Remove and replace water pump impeller kit.
- Spring Dewinterization: Test the battery and charge if needed, start and run the boat.
- Annual Service: Remove the outdrive from the boat. Drain the lower unit gear oil; pressure test; fill with fresh gear oil. Inspect the outdrive bellows; check the engine alignment; grease the u-joints, gimbal bearing and pivot points. Reinstall the outdrive. Change the engine oil and engine oil filter. Clean the flame arrester. Change the fuel filter.
